Blake's Baptism

Last Sunday we had Blake baptized. He did great during the service...he didn't cry during the actual baptism and then fell asleep shortly after and didn't wake up until we got back home! We were thankful our families were able to be there for the special event!

When Daddy Goes Hunting...

...Mommy & Blake play! Eric went to Drummond Island again this year for some deer hunting with his dad, uncles, and cousin, leaving Blake and me home by ourselves. It was a lot of work being by myself with the little guy, but we had a great time hanging out and playing together!
Unfortunately, when Eric did come home, he came down with a nasty cold that turned into Bronchitis. He also gave Blake the cold and eventually I got it too...thankfully, we are all starting to feel a lot better :)

Such a Big Boy!

Blake has been being a bit of a stinker at night lately, especially when we're trying to get him to bed. We had a couple nights where it took 1 1/2 - 2 hours to get him to go to bed even though he's acting tired...but he has slept through the night for the last 4 nights :)
We also got out Blake's exersaucer this past weekend and he LOVES it! Here are some pictures from his first time in it!

Playing in the Leaves

Blake loves being outside, so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today and let him spend a little time in the backyard...plus I wanted to get some pictures of him in the leaves :)

3 Months Old

I can hardly believe our little guy is 3 months old today! Blake is continuing to grow and has become so interactive. I had to pull out his 6 month clothes already! He loves to play with his toys and squeals, coos, giggles, and smiles all the time! He has started batting at and kicking at his toys when he's sitting in his bouncy seat. He likes playing Peek-a-Boo and has begun to hold onto his toys and Kiki's. He loves to try to watch TV, so we usually try to position him so that he can't see the TV at all...otherwise he turns his head to try to see it. We also pulled out his Bumbo seat to see how he did in it and he loves it! It's been nice to have on the mornings he wakes up before I'm ready. He likes sitting in it on the bathroom counter while I finish getting ready!

We took him to get his 3 month pictures taken on Saturday and he did great! I was worried he'd be crabby because he hadn't taken his morning nap and he finally fell asleep on the way to the mall...Thankfully he woke up happy and did great for his pictures! I'll try to post those pics soon!

Yesterday, he was squealing so much in church...thankfully it was when we were singing :) He always loved the music at church when I was pregnant, so we got a kick out of how excited and happy he was in church! I had to eventually give him his pacifier to quiet him down during the sermon!

Happy Halloween

We got a frog costume for Blake to wear for Halloween (thanks to Miss Tina!) and it was absolutely adorable :) Blake was such a happy boy all day and was a trooper that night! We took him to my parents' house for dinner and some pictures with his cousins before Chris and Deb took Breanna Trick or Treating. Afterwards, we headed to Eric's parents' house so that they could see our little froggy too!

Back to Work

On Tuesday, October 13, I went back to work. It was so hard to leave our precious little boy...I loved being home with him the first 10 weeks of his life and was not ready to go back to work, but knew I had to. Eric's youngest sister Ashley is taking care of Blake on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at our house, which is a HUGE blessing! I knew that Blake was in good hands with her on my first day and only called her twice :) Blake is at our neighbor's house on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. He is in good hands at Miss Tina's house too...her kids adore Blake and he is always so happy when I come to pick him up! We feel very blessed to have such a wonderful day care situation set up!

Work itself has been very busy for me, which is good because it makes my days go by fairly quickly. I feel like I'm back in the routine of work again, and it's been easier to leave my little boy each day. I still can't wait to get home at the end of the day and spend almost all my time at night with Blake...I don't get much else done :)
